Construction Government Construction SKE was a pioneer in the U.S. Army Job Order Contract (JOC) program in Germany as well as the similar Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) program for the U.S. Air Force. SKE also accomplishes a variety of other renovation, repair and facility upgrade services under programs for the U.S. Government such as: • Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) • Direct Lump Sum Maintenance, Repair, Renovations & Alternation Contracts • Two (2) Step Lump Sum Contracts • Multi-Trade Repair and Maintenance Contracts • Time and Material Contracts The Joint Venture firms, SKE and Ehrenfels, both of the SKE Group of companies, began Job Order Contract (JOC) construction services for the U.S. Government in June of 1989 in the communities of Mannheim, Heidelberg and Würzburg, Germany. We partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District, in pioneering this minor construction, repair and maintenance contract for the United States Army Europe (USAREUR). Since those initial contracts in 1989, our Joint Venture has held forty nine (49) JOC and U.S. Air Force – Europe equivalent SABER contracts. With little exception, we have performed JOC contract work in all USAREUR communities throughout Europe. In addition, we have held JOC contracts for various other customers such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Europe District, the Armed Forces Recreation Center (ARFC) and the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS).
